10 places to add to your bucket list

The world is full of incredible places that I hope and daydream I can visit someday. From a young age, I’ve had a travel bucket list and I am always adding new destinations to it. I thought I would share my current list to maybe inspire any future trips you have booked!

Maldives

A string of tropical islands floating in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives are the perfect place to visit for secluded, relaxing and indulgent holidays. White sands, crystal blue sea and rows of palm trees with incredible diving opportunities (you can swim with whale sharks!) I think visiting the Maldives is unique and very special and a place I’d love to see for myself.

New York

You’ve seen the films and heard the songs, but nothing compares to visiting the city. I would love to visit New York again and take more time to discover more of New York as though I’m a local. I’d also like to do it in style – first class plane ticket and a stay in Plaza Hotel (I can dream!)

Costa Rica

Beautiful place to visit especially if you love nature and wildlife – and apparently the best coffee you’ll ever taste! You can watch sea turtles arrive on the beaches, hear and see up to 52 different species of Hummingbirds and admire the biodiversity there. Costa Rica hosts 5% of the world’s biodiversity and around a quarter of the country is part of protected forest or reserve.

Northern lights in Reykjavik, Iceland

One of the world’s seven wonders and one that only a small handful of people will see in their lifetimes! However, you’re more likely to see the Northern Lights in Iceland as there are auroras almost every night and in warmer temperatures compared to some places.

Australia

A huge country with so much to see and do that I’d love to spend a month (or more) traveling around Australia, ticking off things. From hiring a camper van and driving the Great Ocean Road, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, visiting Sydney and climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge, spending blissful days at Bondi Beach, learning to surf, seeing kangaroos and koala bears, and so much more.

Positano, Italy

A colourful, cliffside village on the Amalfi Coast where you’re spoilt for choice with beaches and can spend days meandering the little, narrows streets trying delicious Italian food whilst basking in the glorious sunshine.

Tokyo

A city like no other, full of culture, delicious sushi and the world’s tallest tower, The Tokyo Skytree. Plus, if you visit in late March to early April you can see the cherry blossoms burst into bloom, which transform the streets in different shades of pink.

Niagara Falls

You’ve probably seen the pictures of these 3 waterfalls all combining to produce the largest water flow rate of any waterfall in the world! There are lots of different ways to see the Niagara Falls from dining in the Skylon Tower and getting an aerial view, ziplining across them or grabbing a poncho and boarding the Maid of the Mist boat which takes you up close and soaked.

Giraffe Manor

Apparently one of the most Instagrammed places in the world and it’s no surprise why as a stay here means you could enjoy your breakfast or dinner with their Rothchild’s Giraffes who poke their long necks into the windows in the hope of a treat!
